Tokyo, Japan, May 16, 2006 - (JCN Newswire) - Showa Denko K.K. (SDK) has reported results for the first quarter of 2006 (January 1 - March 31). The Company recorded a 23.4% increase in operating income over the first quarter of 2005, to JPY 15,412 million, on net sales up 8.0%, to JPY 205,407 million.
